on DVD November 1st. The Trilogy will include El Marachi,
Desperado,
and Once
Upon a Time in Mexico. Salma Hayek starred in the
last two movies.

- Salma Hayek and former Academy Award winner Tim Robbins
will join the line-up of presenters at next month's
Oscar ceremony. Salma was nominated
for a Best Actress Oscar in 2002 for her performance
as Mexican artist Frida Kahlo in Frida. She is due to
appear on U.S. screens this year in Ask the Dust and
Bandidas.The Academy Awards will be presented on Feb.
27 at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, in ceremonies
to be televised by ABC.

in New Line Home Entertainment's sexy adventure "After
the Sunset" on DVD March 29. A pair of
master thieves escaping to a tropical paradise to enjoy
the spoils of their labor. But, when an FBI agent who
has pursued them for years becomes convinced that they
are actually plotting to pull off their next big score,
a riveting game of twists and turns is underway. Sounds
good!

- Penelope Cruz and Salma Hayek hit it off from day
one during the filming of "Bandidas",
a Western about two female outlaws set in 19th Century
Mexico. We've enjoyed it from the first day until yesterday,"
said Cruz, having completed about 14 weeks of working
with Hayek, mostly in the northern Mexican state of
Durango. "We have an incredible communication."
The film by Luc Besson tells the story of two women
- one rich, the other poor - who overcome their differences
to work together robbing banks.

- Salma Hayek to star in ABC's new telenovela, "Betty
La Fea". Salma is returning to her telenovela
roots with an American version of the phenomenally successful
Latin American soap opera "Betty La Fea."
She has joined forces with Ben Silverman to executive
produce the show -- which has received a script commitment
from the network -- through their companies Ventanarosa
and Reveille. In "Betty La Fea," or "Ugly
Betty," Betty is an unattractive and unpopular
but very efficient assistant at a fashion design company
who falls in love with her handsome boss. Starring Ana
Maria Orozco, the telenovela became
a sensation in Colombia during its 1999-2001 run, when
it aired every weeknight. Like the original, the ABC
version will be a light one-hour with comedic elements.
